Ciao from Rome

We arrived in Rome safely with Czech airways who were good and got a private transfer car from the airport to the hotel.  We are staying at hotel Bernini in Piazza Barberini, which has the Spanish steps on one side and the Trevino fountain on the other.  Location is great for sight seeing and shopping.

After checking into the hotel (beautiful room we have this old world boutique hotel, even has a lounge room) l spent the afternoon sitting at a cafe people watching and having a pizza.  I can people watch for hours and the waiter at the cafe was hilarious.  A young kid who worked hard but perverted on all the female tourists as they walked by and tried to chat most of them up.

That evening we had drinks and dinner on the roof top of the hotel and enjoyed the views of the Vatican and the. Rest of Rome.  The food was amazing and in Italy they cater very well for Gluten free meals......I had my first pasta dish which as you would expect in Italy was delicious.

Tomorrow brings walking around and welcoming Liz to Rome.

Arrivederci Z xx
