Good morning sunny NOT Positano. The sea is black and not clear blue as it was yesterday. It has rained all night and still no stopping now. The clouds are black as well and the water coming down from the top of the mountain is flowing down the stairways fast and rapidly. Minor flooding at the bottom on the beach as locals try to clean up and remove debris out of the way. I quickly check the weather to find that in the 2 days we have in Positano it will rain and thunder....what the!! Regardless it is still beautiful and will make the most of it. The ash from a previous fire up the mountain has washed all the way down and now into the town, sand and sea. Poor people, not a nice sight to see.
We had a long breakfast this morning and l caught up on my blogging, checked in with family and did some face booking. I then took an umbrella and walked up the cliff to see the view from up there what a climb in the wet, don't recommend this at all. We also checked out some hotels along the way and they also has amazing rooms, areas to sit in and restaurants which look out onto the sea.
Due to the bad weather dinner was had at the hotel restaurant Nd it was absolutely beautiful. Had a nice steak (a bit over the pizza and pasta) and it was delicious. It had pepper sauce with zucchini and roast potatoes. Another bottle of nice red wine was had and then straight to bed. Doing nothing is exhausting. Tomorrow l plan to hopefully get some more walks in and allegedly there should be less rain.
